Cobra King F6 Driver: A Club By Cobra Golf That Crushes The Ball And Adds Yards To Your Drive (A Review)

Let’s Talk About Distance For Just A Second

Sorry to tell you, but yours is awful.

Okay I don’t know you, so maybe it isn’t awful but all the sub-par (see what I did there?) shots that come off of our clubs make us feel that way occasionally. We work on it at the range for hours trying to get closer to that pro distance.

PGA distance on average is 287 yards per drive, with the ball going 260 yards before making contact with the ground. The longest driving pros come in just under 310 yards. LPGA touts 246 yards on average, so those amazing women are smashing the ball off the tee as well.

We all know that the main part of distance is the swing, so here are a few examples of professionals with beautiful swings.

I personally have given up on ever being a pro but I do want to hit the course and know that I’m going to walk away happy with my play and my swings, maybe even get some cash off my friends.

Formerly I would get my 5-6 beautiful drives per round and those would keep me coming back.

I’ve since learned that great clubs make a world of distance.

Wait…I meant difference but you know what I am saying.

Like I said before, I don’t get pro distance but I’ve gotten a lot closer recently with only one addition.

Cobra King F6 Driver

Cobra King F6 Review

I’ve been in love with this driver since I picked it up. It boasts insane customization.

The F6 Center of Gravity Tuning gives you a weight that can be shifted to give you two modes: Penetrating and Towering.

The Penetrating mode gives you:

  • More Roll
  • Not As Much Carry As Towering
  • More Overall Distance
  • Less Forgiveness

The Towering mode gives you:

  • Significantly More Carry Than Penetrating
  • Less Overall Roll
  • Less Overall Distance
  • More forgiveness

The face of the head is so large it is difficult to not hit the sweet spot though. These two modes are very much personal preference. Distance is still phenomenal on both settings. It is easily changed and you will know which one you prefer after a few strokes.

The My Fly Loft technology makes it so you can adjust the loft of the head to your preference.

Love high long shots? Try towering mode with the loft set to the highest setting.

Want line drives that feel like they roll forever? Penetrating mode with a lower loft might be for you.

Here is the review video that got me into the Cobra King F6 Driver.

My Personal Cobra King F6 Experience

So to tell you about myself, I was averaging between 200-220 yards on my best swings. I’m not hardcore on the course every weekend or anything but I’ve put in plenty of hours working on my swing and talked with quite a few club pros about it.

I did have lessons when I was young but that was quite a few years ago.

Mostly I go with friends or my father and just enjoy a day on the course with a few brews and a cigar. I had never been able to afford new clubs till about a year ago and I started shopping.

I liked the idea of what Cobra was doing so I picked up the F6 as my first new club because who doesn’t love driving the ball?

I had to get a new driver first.

I noticed the difference the second I hit the first ball at the range. I crushed the ball and the club felt amazing in my hands. After two hours and 3 buckets of balls, (not all driver swings obviously) I knew I made the right choice. My best drive looked like it was 300 yards, it wasn’t, but it felt good.

The next time I got on the course I swaggered on up to the tee and reached for my new Cobra King F6 Driver.

Confidence high I swung as hard as I could with good form.

I topped it because of my hubris.

The next time I tee’d up though I lit the ball up.

245 yards.

I had instantly added 25 yards to my longest drive. I love this driver and I highly recommend it. You’re an adult though, you can decide for yourself.

Here’s where you can get the club and read some more customer reviews if you’re not convinced yet.
